10 CRAZY THINGS I CROSSED OFF MY BUCKET LIST

We all have a bucket list, a list of things we absolutely want to do before we kick the bucket.

My list is getting longer as I make my little crazy dreams come true, but that’s the amazing thing about a bucket list: every time you manage to make a wish from your list come true, the motivation to pursue your other dreams becomes bigger and bigger, just like the feeling of gratification you get as you cross a dream off your list.

Here’s a list of my little big dreams I made come true

#1 See Petra’s Treasure

This is a dream I have since I was a child: as a great fan of all Indiana Jones movies, I absolutely had to visit the site where Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade was filmed.

#2 Swim with wild sea turtles

I got the chance to do that in the Gili Islands, Indonesia. I was snorkeling about 100 meters from the shore, when I saw what at first seemed to be a very big fish coming towards me….it was actually a beautiful wild sea turtle.

#3 Watch the sunrise at Angor Wat

Angkor Wat is on top of my favorite places top 10 list and, waiting for the sunrise in a stunning place like that, was an amazing experience that I highly recommend to anyone.

#4 Eat a tarantula

I think it’s quite unusual to find insect-eating as one of the things you absolutely want to do before you die, but I love this kind of “wild” experiences…and yes, i liked it!

#5 See the so-called James Bond Island

While I was browsing  a travel magazine I say a picture of this weird shaped rock, and I said to my self “I have to see it!”. James Bond Island is located in Thailand, it’s a very small island whose real name is Kaho Phing Kan.

#6 Cross the Sahara desert on the back of a dromedary

This is one of the experience you will always remember in your life: endless golden dunes enlightened by weak sunset sunbeams, the only sound you can hear is the swish on the sand produced by the caravan, and nothing else around you.

#7 See the great Pyramids of Giza

As they are one of the Ancient Seven Wonders of the World still visible today, it’s something that cannot be missed.

#8 Sail into Halong Bay

I wasn’t very lucky the day I reached Halong Bay, in Vietnam: The weather was very bad, but the landscape was still fascinating.

#9 Go to India

If you decide to go to India, and you are brave enough to travel around it in a non-turist way, well it will be an experience of life you will never forget.

#10 See the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou

Many hollywood movies were filmed in this place, but if you are a Game of Thrones fan (as I am) you’ll find this place really familiar…it’s Mereen!
