The Philippines: A new adventure is coming soon!

THE REASON WHY I CHOSE THE PHILIPPINES AS MY NEXT DESTINATION

The first time that the idea of going to The Philippines came to my mind, I was working on a cruise ship. I used to talk with my colleagues on board, and many of them were from that country. I was curious to know something more about their homeland, because I knew nothing about The Philippines, so I asked them to tell me about it. All of them told me that I really should go there one day, because The Philippines have some of the most beautiful landscapes and islands in the whole World.

While I was traveling around Asia, I met many backpackers who had spent a lot of their time wandering around Southeast Asia. We were sharing ours stories and experiences and I was telling them how much I loved Thailand. Hearing this thing they suggested me to go to The Philippines:  this country has indeed a landscape which resembles a lot the one you find in Thailand, but it’s more beautiful, wild and real.

The thing that surprised me the most, is that The Philippines are apparently an underestimated travel location. If you go to a travel agency to plan your vacation for example, you’ll probably be suggested to go The Caribbean, Indonesia, Seychelles, The Maldives. What about The Philippines? Nobody seems to talk about them. This country is indeed out of the main touristic routes for the moment, so you should take advantage of this fact.

That’s the reason why I chose The Philippines as my next destination. I hope that, as this country isn’t became a famous tourist destination yet, I will find this place wild, authentic and mostly unmanaged.

WHAT I’LL BE DOING IN THE PHILIPPINES

This trip is going to be a little different from the ones I did before. There will be some adventure, of course, but my main goal this time is to relax: I really need to enjoy the sea right now. I will focus on the South-West area of the Country, Palawan region, where you can find the most beautiful islands, beaches and lagoons.

NOW LEST’S BREAK DOWN MY NEW ADVENTURE

  • Visiting the World famous Underground River
  • Exploring the islands around Puerto Princesa
  • Relaxing at El Nido
  • Going Island Hopping around El Nido
  • Exploring North Palawan: Cuilon Island
  • Swimming in the amazing blue lagoons of Coron
  • …eating the “balut egg”

I can’t believe that I’m actually going to this amazing place! I really look forward to seeing the landscape I used to see on travel bloggers websites, swimming into those crystal waters, and meeting nice people!

Keeping up with my blog when I travel can be difficult, so be sure to follow along on Instagram: I’ll be always updating my page!
